We were given the opportunity to remodel a small bathroom with the idea that it had to be done GREEN! This adventure required materials that were as eco-friendly and environmentally conscious as possible. This bathroom features lumber that was milled by us from standing dead old-growth ponderosa pine, incense cedar, red fir, and black oak. All of which came from local forests. Countertop is from a Cedar slab. Door is red fir and pine. Floating vanity is oak, pine and cedar. Wainscoting, flooring is pine and oak. Tile is locally fabricated porcelain. All paints and finishes are low or no VOC. Toilet and fixtures are Kohler, and all are low water usage.

We started building furniture in college with just a few hand tools, a big chainsaw, and an even bigger belief that we could create something different. We stood by this belief, and added to it that whatever we design and build, it should be done right: by hand, locally, and responsibly. Ten years later, having honed our skills and our style, we are trying to leave behind the drab salt mines of the production construction industry, and focus on the things we love: the artistry, the quality, the originality, and the inspiration.
Striving to create lifetime quality pieces that are sustainably sourced without compromise to innovation forward design, Natural Edge Sawworks uses high quality, reclaimed, recycled, and responsibly harvested materials to create truly unique original pieces that will last for generations. We believe in creating on the cutting edge…while keeping it natural.
