As a Designer and Artist everything starts with my sketchbook. My drawings and designs consist of shapes, parts and pieces that I create. Often people ask "what is that" when they see my sketches.
I can only respond with that these are designs coming from inward. I can't say my work is one thing specifically however my more notable creative influences include Graffiti/Street art, Computer Motherboards and components, specifically of Gaming Computers. I'm a child of the 80's and 90's so of course that time period alone has it's influences.
I feel a sense of harmony using geometric imagery juxtaposed with organic flowing shapes. Layering is very important in my work. A single shape is great, combining several shapes and designs using overlapping and spatial balance creates an orchestra, and that's what I strive for in all of my work.
Materials are pivotal in my work. I go to great lengths to find the right materials to use in my constructions.
Often I will use a Green or Eco friendly product such as Hemp Fiberboard. Acrylic Plastic has a wonderful appearance and workability. Shown used in X9 and J5 are the Glow Edge Fluorescent Acrylics.
