This long overdue project was to build a desk, file storage and shelves for our home office. The goal was to replace a wobbly, garage sale desk and piles of folders with a functional, stylish, custom setup. Problem solved and another to-do off the list. All the pieces were constructed with rustic reclaimed barn wood. The desk is 96"L x 40"W with a very sturdy 4"x4" oak base. The file storage was custom-sized to fit under the desk and to provide access to files from above with additional storage below. A second shelf storage area was added to hold the printer and fax machine.

Twenty-five years ago we instantly fell in love with a 100-year-old farmhouse. We reveled in its unique architecture, old world craftsmanship and a chance to preserve history. All through the years since then it became the ultimate outlet to perfect both my artistic and carpentry skills.

About My Business
My disdain for mass-produced furnishings lead me to the creation of many unique custom-made pieces. By combining a passion for historical materials with modern design, I was able to preserve a bit of the past into the future. Old barn wood was transformed into tables, bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets and anything else I could apply my artistry to. Broken Mexican tile was fashioned into beautiful mosaic inlays. Collected stones, shells and driftwood were melded with old growth wood to recreate natural beauty.

We love our new reclaimed wood shelves. They are just what we wanted to add to our newly remodeled kitchen. Ron was great to work with. He also installed the shelves for us. He did a wonderful job. We would love to work with Ron again.

Ron created a one of a kind floating media cabinet for us using salvaged wood. The piece is impeccably made and was easily hung on our wall in exactly the way he instructed it would. I would definitely work with Ron again. He is extremely responsive and very knowledgeable. His mock ups put us at ease throughout the process knowing we were getting the product we hoped for.
