This long overdue project was to build a desk, file storage and shelves for our home office. The goal was to replace a wobbly, garage sale desk and piles of folders with a functional, stylish, custom setup. Problem solved and another to-do off the list. All the pieces were constructed with rustic reclaimed barn wood. The desk is 96"L x 40"W with a very sturdy 4"x4" oak base. The file storage was custom-sized to fit under the desk and to provide access to files from above with additional storage below. A second shelf storage area was added to hold the printer and fax machine.

Twenty-five years ago we instantly fell in love with a 100-year-old farmhouse. We reveled in its unique architecture, old world craftsmanship and a chance to preserve history. All through the years since then it became the ultimate outlet to perfect both my artistic and carpentry skills.

About My Business
My disdain for mass-produced furnishings lead me to the creation of many unique custom-made pieces. By combining a passion for historical materials with modern design, I was able to preserve a bit of the past into the future. Old barn wood was transformed into tables, bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets and anything else I could apply my artistry to. Broken Mexican tile was fashioned into beautiful mosaic inlays. Collected stones, shells and driftwood were melded with old growth wood to recreate natural beauty.

Ron was wonderful to work with. He was engaged and communicative every step of the way. There were a couple of things that caused the work to take a bit longer, but he was on top of checking in with me and it was absolutely worth the wait. I am so happy with how the shelves turned out and it really brought my vision for the space to life. He took a lot of time packing up the shelves so that they would be safe during shipping and even sent the instructions along with the mounts, screws and drill bits needed for installation. Ron's care and expertise is clearly visible in the quality of his craftsmanship.
