Rustic Kitchen Island/Spice Cabinet
Another piece is completed in the kitchen rehab project. This round eliminated a pitiful excuse for our counter/ spice cabinet. Gladly replaced it with this rustic live edge oak top and reclaimed oak base cabinet. It has a pullout cutting board with a single drawer and storage space below. There is plenty of space above to hold spices and other cooking items. Size as shown – base 24"W x 21"D x 36"H. Spice cabinet 24"W x 48"T x 6"D. About Me
Twenty-five years ago we instantly fell in love with a 100-year-old farmhouse. We reveled in its unique architecture, old world craftsmanship and a chance to preserve history. All through the years since then it became the ultimate outlet to perfect both my artistic and carpentry skills.
About My Business
My disdain for mass-produced furnishings lead me to the creation of many unique custom-made pieces. By combining a passion for historical materials with modern design, I was able to preserve a bit of the past into the future. Old barn wood was transformed into tables, bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets and anything else I could apply my artistry to. Broken Mexican tile was fashioned into beautiful mosaic inlays. Collected stones, shells and driftwood were melded with old growth wood to recreate natural beauty.

This is my second project with him. From his first proposal he had sketches and ideas and had already investigated possible materials so I had options to choose from. He is very responsive to input and I felt like he really took the time to understand my style and vision even though it may not have been his preference (love modern). So the end result was exactly what I wanted for both projects!
