This piece was custom built for a specific space in a kitchen with a vaulted ceiling. The red oak boards were salvaged from a set of crude shelves, re-milled, and dado joints cut on a table saw. The joints are glued, with a header screwed in with antique brass screws sanded to a new surface. Hung from the slanted ceiling with all stainless steel hardware and leveled with a slight back-tilt to discourage glasses from sliding out the front unintentionally.
