Hanging Stained Glass W Beveled Squares In Warm Colors
This one-of-a-kind contemporary hanging stained glass artwork in cool colors is currently for sale. In this artwork, I used 1.5 inch beveled squares along with the cool colored glasses. The construction was done with three different sizes of lead came, and an outer edge of 3/4" zinc came to make it strong. The colors are fairly accurate in this photo, but what looks like deep blue is actually deep purple. Also, the green at the lower left looks too dark. It's actually the same glass at the rest of the greens. This artwork was tough to make. That's because the bevels come in discrete sizes (1.5") and the lead came between them makes it impossible to figure out the exact sizes of the colored parts. So instead of making paper patterns and cutting all of the glass before the construction phase (as i do with most or my creations), I have to cut and fit all of the colored sections one piece at a time. The overall size of this artwork is 24-1/4" wide and 21-3/4" tall.
