Synagogue Stained Glass

$12,000

I have done many religious stained glass commissions in my career, and I always experience good vibes while doing religious work. These windows that surround the Holy Ark were done for a synagogue in Ohio. Each side is made up of three stained glass panels, and the design ties the two sides together with an open Torah scroll (the Five Books of Moses). The left side depicts Mitzvot (good deeds) and the right side depicts Jewish holidays. The third photo shows one of the smaller panels up close prior to installation. Whenever I do large projects such as this, I offer the option of personally delivering and installing the stained glass. For large projects, this is often only slightly more expensive than shipping the stained glass. This synagogue was one of the times I drove the stained glass to the site. I love doing this because I get to meet the clients and interact with them. I also get to see the joy on their faces when the installation is complete. In this case, I actually stayed in the home of the rabbi and his family. This is an added bonus because I dislike staying in a hotel and because I really get to know the people who have trusted me to create something so special in their lives. I have stayed in the home of non-Jewish clergy, too, with equally positive results. Note 1 - I do not require staying with clergy or congregants. It's just a perk that sometimes works out. Note 2 - Large or small commissions can be safely shipped, although usually not with UPS or FEDEX. Whenever I ship stained glass, it is always insured for it's full value.

I have been making stained glass for 50 years, since I took it up as a hobby at the age of eleven. I have been a full-time stained glass artist since 1975. I've won numerous awards for both my design and my craftsmanship.

I have completed commissions throughout the U.S. and Canada, and shipped my ready-made artworks as far as Dublin, Ireland. I also teach my unique methodology for making precision stained glass in a 43-hour set of DVDs, and I have sold hundreds of these sets in 15 countries so far.

As a visual artist, I invite you to view my images and compare the design and craftsmanship for yourself. Whether you are considering the purchase of an already-made stained glass artwork or commissioning new custom stained or beveled glass, I am confident that I can address both your desires and needs.
