This quilted wall hanging is part of my "impressionist" collection as the fabrics I used are not as realistic nature prints as I usually employ in my work. All my wall hangings include a hanging sleeve attached to the back for hanging easily on a rod. My applique work is called raw edge applique and all fabric appliques are attached with fusible material and then stitched. This piece measures 15" x 15". It is bright and attractive, especially after long Maine winters. I often do custom work, creating views from peoples' homes or cottages. Please know that my work results in impressions of a view and is not to be compared with photographic images of a scene. My excuse for this is that "artists play!"

I have worked with fabric since I was 15 years old. I began as a dressmaker and have created many gowns and wedding gowns for myself, my daughters and other family members. For a time, I created teddy bears, Priest and Deacon stoles, and sewed neckties for a shop in Rochester NY.
About a year ago I took a leap into an altogether different kind of sewing and now I design and create quilted Landscape Wall Hangings. This has become a passion for me.

I have given several talks around the Maine area about the connection between art and spirituality and have begun teaching others the art of landscape quilting.
