Coffee Table With Live Edge
This coffee table is definitely outside the box! This unique piece is a large dual level functional piece of art. The live edge tops are spalted maple from the same tree. A four year process of spalting and drying produced an intricate pattern of veins in various hues throughout the wood. The natural fissures in the slabs are inlaid with semiprecious stone and exotic woods such as Gabon Ebony and Canary Wood. The stability of this table is achieved through precision joinery alone. The piece is easily disassembled for moving or shipping and reassembled just as easily. This table is available to purchase or made to order in the wood of your choice. Dimensions: 68"l x 32"W x 20"H

I am a fifth generation carpenter originally from Massachusetts who, after spending the last 28 years in Maryland, recently migrated to North Carolina. My wife, who is an award winning artist and I, settled with our dogs in the mountains of western North Carolina near Asheville.
My work combines the classic elegance and style of Mission and Southwestern furniture with the organic shapes of live edge. I try to create pieces that exude warmth and classic beauty along with a rustic flair. I am inspired by the natural beauty of exotic woods from around the world and often incorporate unusual species not often seen.
I enjoy working closely with my clients to design and develop works that reflect their personal tastes. The result is a unique piece of functional art.
