End Table - Arts & Crafts

$1,000

This end table named Gemella (twin), is constructed of walnut and finished with a rich ebony stain. The stained glass window used in its construction was salvaged from a 1917 Detroit (Hamtramck) home. Hamtramck was named for the French-Canadian soldier Jean Francois Hamtramck. German farmers originally settled Hamtramck, but Polish immigrants flooded into the area when the Dodge Brothers plant opened in 1914. The glass itself was created in the arts & crafts design of the time. The walnut, spindle legs were reclaimed from an old staircase from a turn of the century Cincinnati home and refinished with the same rich ebony stain. This tables measures 23-1/4" wide x 27" long x 26" high.

Eclecticasa creates works of design, art and history.

Over the years, Eclecticasa has amassed a collection of centuries-old stained-glass windows-many of them removed from the finest mansions in Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Our vision for the use of the glass lead us to design heirloom-quality works to showcase and give new purpose to the beautiful art glass while also preserving it for future generations to enjoy.

No two pieces are alike - we find inspiration from, classic, reclaimed, century-old table legs, staircase spindles, and other architectural elements that we pair with the stained glass. We then choose the finest solid woods to surround the glass and match stains or paint to create these stunning original works.

Our master craftsmen combine all of our designer's choices while using superior wood stains, paint and lacquer finishes for durability. Many of our tables & wall units are lit from within - light appears like sunlight to accentuate even more the art form's beauty.

Eclecticasa pieces feature everything from traditional to contemporary styling. The results are pure perfection. Each unique piece is individually named, signed by the designer and comes with a description of its history.

The name Eclecticasa, incidentally, comes from the words eclectic (stylish ideas from a wide range of resources) and casa, which means home in Italian.
