Hello,

My name is John Kunstman, I build custom heirloom furniture and other wooden pieces. I am a full time firefighter / paramedic for my day job, and build custom furniture as a hobby. This allows me to spend extra attention to details that make the piece perfect.

In my shop hand tools are used to build my furniture pieces. Yes, i do have electricity, how ever its main use is for lights and a radio. And an occasional saw or other tool.

I bring 30 plus years of experience, which started working with my father since i was old enough to get in the way.

I hope to build your next heirloom piece that you will be proud to pass on to your family to enjoy.

Thank you

John is a very conscientious craftsman with a high sense of integrity and a definite love of his work. The shipping mark is not a reflection on him, but on UPS's handling of the delivery of my stool. Once it left the local UPS store in the Nashville area, the handlers basically mashed it. Even though the shipping mishap was not his doing, John is bending over backwards in order to make sure that everything is made right. I recommend working with him.

I wish there was an opportunity to share the picture of the final product that John created based on our original idea. It is perfect and we love it. John was great. From the questions he asked to clarify what we wants as we discussed the project, to sending pictures and updates of his progress on the project to final delivery, John was professional, knowledgeable and truly interested in producing exactly what we wanted. When his delivery man fell through, he personally drove the 10 hours to deliver our media stand and set it up. You can trust this craftsman. You won't be disappointed.

This stool turned out really beautiful and we are very happy with our first experience with John & CustomMade. We would definitely consider him for any future custom furniture projects.

Oh My Gosh! Working from a small photo, he recreated a $7000 table, only in much nicer wood. And for much less money. Plus he tweaked the design to work with my specs.

The legs in particular are gorgeously carved. And the wood is finished to a rich gloss. This is really great wood too -the table is far heavier than most tables sold in stores.

I am delighted with my table. Thank you!

This is truly an heirloom piece. The wood is very high quality, the table weighs about 150 lbs! It's gracious yet hand hewn. My friends and neighbors love it as well. And I adore the color!

I do wish that he had made the legs detachable so it was easier to get in the house -we had to unscrew doors in the end. But his high quality workmanship is outstanding. I would work with this maker again.
