Sapele Wine Cellar

$12,000

Here is a 450 bottle capacity wine cellar made of quarter-sawn Sapele. Additional case storage is provided below the counter. The walls behind the custom racks are illuminated by LED lights embedded in the vertical sapele supports. The room is sealed tight and climate controlled. The efficient use of this small space resulted in a difficult project to photograph but a fine wine cellar.

Greetings!

I got my start in the world of woodworking as early as middle school woodshop class. I continued to pursue my interest outside of class working with a variety of cabinet and furniture makers in and around Philadelphia from that time (around 2000) until 2011 when I opened my own doors, at The Philadelphia Woodworking Company.

At The Philadelphia Woodworking Company, I create custom cabinetry, furniture and architectural elements like gates, doors and mantels. My shop is located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. My door is always open and I encourage clients to visit at any time before, during or after their project is on the floor. I have a deep passion for woodworking - it is the only calling I have ever imagined myself pursuing. The city of Philadelphia also has an incredibly rich history of craft and manufacturing and I am honored to be practicing and continuing in that tradition.

I received a Bachelor of Art in Art from Temple University's Tyler School of Art in 2010. My academic background also includes credits accrued in the Fine Woodworking program at Bucks County Community College and the Architecture program at Temple University.
