Shillelagh Walking Sticks
After making my first walking stick I wanted to make a Shillelagh style walking stick to capture the beauty of the natural wood and celebrate my love of Irish culture. I did a lot of research and was able to acquire some Blackthorn from the UK. This material is highly prized in the UK and Ireland for it's strength, flexibility and beauty. I also use oak, birch and other hardwood shanks. I can incorporate variety of domestic and tropical wood handles, bone and horn spacers as well as copper and brass collars to create elegant and rugged walking sticks intended for regular use and as a heirloom.

I am a woodworker who specializes in custom walking sticks and canes with a focus on traditional English and Irish style walking sticks, many times with my own added twist.
With each item I aim to incorporate the uniqueness of the wood I am using and capture that beauty in the finish product. My walking sticks and canes are made to provide support for rugged hiking, stability in walking or for the collector. I make a variety of other wood products including jewelry and keepsake boxes, tobacco pipes, props and "magic wands".
