Rustic Mason Jar Sconce / Olive Oil Lamp

$55

~ Rustic Mason Jar Scone w/ Olive Oil Burning Wick ~ This one-of-a-kind piece is made from high quality, hand-picked upcycled materials. The frame is made from flooring salvaged from a homestead in deep east Texas that dated back the early 1900's! The frame is constructed so that it is completely self-supporting, it can be placed anywhere … a shelf, desk, counter … any flat surface will do! It also has standard picture frame hardware on the back so it can be hung on the wall as well, the possibilities are endless! Inside the jar is a replaceable, cotton wick that is mounted through a wire stand placed at the bottom of the jar. The wire stand is easily removable via a vertical handle to make wick adjustment/replacement easy and simple. Add about 1/4 cup standard house hold olive oil and light as you would a candle. It will burn burn for 6+ hours on this small amount of oil. Olive oil is almost 100% pure fuel, and burns clean, virtually scent-free, as well as being hypoallergenic. Olive oil, made by trees, is vegetarian and replenish able. It is gotten by pressing olives, not by the complex chemical methods required to make other vegetable oils. You can also add your own essential oils to bring a unique fragrance to your home!

-- Re-Use, Re-Purpose, Re-New --
My main focus is to create high quality, one-of-a-kind pieces through attention to detail and superior craftsmanship. I would enjoy visiting and listening to your thoughts and ideas so we can design a custom item specifically for you.

I have a diverse background in the construction trades industry, as well as extensive knowledge in art & design. Through these experiences I have gained a wide variety of skills and techniques that allow me to not only produce a second to none product, but also the vision and perception to design a piece especially for you and your space.

The uniqueness of my materials also stands out. I am a strong believer in re-purposing and upcycling otherwise discarded materials. Taking the time to see the hidden beauty in these various materials sets my work apart from the rest of the industry. I take the raw materials from the walls of an old barn to the floorboards of a 100 year old one room homestead and I inject new life into it. Giving it a new purpose, a new life.
