Sara's Gift Box
This box was made for Sara's wedding day so guests at her reception will have a place to put congratulation cards. The outside dimensions are 16"D x 12"D x 7"H and the inside dimensions of the box are 13"W x 8 1/2"D x 5"H. It can also be fabricated with a pull out tray for jewelry. The wood species is shown in this piece are maple for the body of the top and the box, with a mahogany base, border for on the cover and inlaid on the bears ears dovetail' The hardware is all solid brass, a piano hinge and a full mortise lock. It is finished with three coats of hand rubbed tung oil

I have always had an interest in furniture building and have attended North Bennett St. School in Boston's north end where my exposure to fine furniture fabrication has lead me to pursue a more involved career in this field.
