Quarter Sawn White Oak Conference Table

Dan is a super guy who is very talented and easy to work with. We wanted a table we say in Crate and Barrel in a different size in reclaimed wood, and he delivered an amazing piece of furniture - and art.

I was very excited to work with Dan on designing a custom desk for my company's office space based on the work and reviews I saw online.

I wish I could give them 5 stars, but there were a few things that hold me back and at one point I would have given a 2 or 3:
1- When I first reached out I asked for the desk to be stained to match our decor. When Dan sent the final pictures there was a matte coat of varnish, but no stain. It was too late to fix that so it technically was not what I wanted.
2- Installation was not at all easy. We are in Boston, so the desk was shipped to us. I was assured that the instructions would make it simple. A contractor and 3 other sets of hands struggled their way through constructing and were not able to get pieces aligned just right.
3- The desk was late. The contact that I signed had the desk being delivered of the 7th, I didn't get it until the 16th. There was no communication from the team that there was going to be a delay until I reached out asking for a tracking number when it hadn't arrived.

I will add: I gave 4 stars because although all of this, Dan was responsive when I reached out and did refund us partially for the lack of stain. If I were to work with the team again I would ask them to come do the install and insist on better communication along the way. Albeit, that comes at a price.

Overall, Dan was excellent to work with.

He communicated very promptly whenever I had questions. He worked with me to come up with the design as well.

The table we ended up with is very nice.

There were some poorly set expectations along the way and he didn't do some things that I would have assumed should have been done. I would do business with Dan again but now I know better how to ask the questions that I would need to ask in order to get the final product I want.

Dan is a really good guy but it is just inherent in building something so custom that there is likely going to be miscommunication along the way.

Great job on my last minute project of getting three signs out in a week. Can’t thank you enough for the quality and quick turnaround. The signs where the finishing touch to our booth. Thanks again.
