3 Ribbons Floating Wall Panel | Solid Purple Heart & Birdseye Maple

$865

The wood for this piece was hand selected for the beauty of its grain, stability of its structure and purity of its color. No stains or dyes were used in the making of the piece and all colors shown are the natural colors of the wood. The ribbons are constructed of Birdseye Maple whose grain seems to dance in the light. The panel on which the ribbons set measures 24" wide by 18.5" tall and is made of solid quarter sawn Purple Heart, which has a deep rich purple color. The panel is reinforced by two purple heart backer strips which also function as the mounting system for the piece. When mounted, via a simple cleat system, the panel is spaced approximately 3/4" inch from the wall and appears to be floating. Dimensions: 24"L x 1.5"W X 18.5"H PLEASE NOTE: This piece has sold. Upon receiving an order I will create a new piece specifically for you. Production time is about 4-6 weeks and you will receive pictures and an overview of the pieces construction. I can also customize the dimensions of the piece if desired by a client. Please contact me with any questions.

Nick spent much of his childhood in both his father’s and grandfather’s workshops learning the art of woodworking. These early years instilled a love of creating and a passion to continue to explore the possibilities the craft had to offer. This deep passion for the craft and respect for the simple beauty found in the natural world, have greatly influenced Nick’s style which is characterized by elegant lines and a balanced use of multiple species of wood.

Carefully selecting each piece of wood used in his creations, Nick focuses on finding unique and interesting grain patterns which can be seamlessly incorporated together to create a quietly satisfying, harmonious piece with subtle grace and unexpected curves.

Nick creates both speculative and commissioned pieces for clients from his shop in San Diego, California. His goal is to build timeless pieces of the highest quality which can be enjoyed by clients and their families for generations to come.
