Square Abstract Metal Sculpture

This item has been sold but I can re-create it, or make one customized for you. A modern, industrial, or contemporary piece of metal art. This sculpture was made out of different square or rectangular shaped pieces of metal that were welded together. A torch was then used to add color to it by heating then metal. It was then covered with two coats of a satin clear coat paint. This would look great on a desk, surrounded by flowers, or as a focal point by itself. It would also look great as a piece of outdoor art as it develops its patina. In February 2015 I entered this piece in the Fredericksburg Art Show and Sale and it took first place in the 3D sculpture category. Here is what the judge had to say: "It exists within the tradition of sculpture, it is formal by nature, uses patinas and cut shapes to explore surface, scale and space, but also has a forward movement that is in contrast to the stationary quality of the geometric square." The piece is approximately 24 inches tall, 18 inches wide and weighs about 15 pounds. Please check my other listings for more abstract metal sculptures.
