This is a listing for Toni. If you are not them, please do not purchase this. As discussed in other messages, here is a quick summary of the bell. The bell with base will be just under 48 inches tall, about 34 inches wide, and if you count the depth of the the base plate, about 24 inches deep from front to back. The base plate will have holes drilled near the corners to stake it down to the ground. I am using an 8 inch diameter cylinder that is about 24 inches long in the design. It will have a ring that is approximately 3 inches in diameter on top to hook it onto the stand. The "Peace Cross" will be approximately 6 inches wide by 9 inches long. The bell will have the "Peace Cross" Japanese Kanji plasma cut into one side of the cylinder. I am estimating the whole thing will be about 80 pounds. The cylinder and stand will be sanded smooth then acid washed to create a patina. The acid wash will be neutralized for safety. The bell and stand will then be washed with fresh water multiple times to clean them and to continue the aging or patina process. The increase of $100 in the price is due to the plasma cut design in the cylinder. This process is done by hand and then must be cleaned, sanded or ground smooth to protect all parties. The bell will have a metal disc inside to act as a clapper or striker. It will also have a nylon string inside to suspend the clapper and the wind catcher. Due to my previously scheduled work travel, the bell will absolutely be delivered before September 9. All efforts will be made to finish the bell before that date. Artist will hand deliver the bell to the purchaser.

I am a retired Army Engineer Diver and reside near Fredericksburg, VA. I have been working with wood or metal for over 30 years. I enjoy looking at a piece of material and seeing what it can be changed into instead of its original purpose.
I make unique items out of scuba diving tanks, scrap metal, and anything I can find so that I re-purpose, re-use or recycle as much material as possible. My goal is to have 90% of the material in my projects be items that were destined for the scrap yard or trash.
Whether it is a one of a kind engraved scuba tank, abstract sculpture, lamp, or piece of yard art, please allow me to work with you to make your vision come to life.
A guide to the best items from the best makers and the stories behind them.

For Large Bell Or GongPositively-Absolutely-Talented (PAT) that's Pat! It was a very rewarding experience working with him. He took my cryptic drawings and information and turned them into a masterpiece. I've already asked him about working on another project for me. Thanks Pat, I really appreciate your talent and time. You're the best!!

For Clock Tower Sculpture ProjectPat did a great job and really worked hard to make sure the end result was what we were looking for. His willingness to learn and work with another artist was much appreciated. Even though the clock tower isn't fully complete Pat's portion of the project turned out great. I highly recommend using Pat for metal work.

For Outdoor pteradactyl sculpture ProjectWe haven't received the Pteradactyl sculpture yet, but believe we will love it due to Pat's continuous updates with images, questions and confirmations. This was our first Custom Made project, as well as Pat's. He is a great person to work with, a real artist. I recommend him for steel renditions.
