The Monty...Bar Stool
These are hand made bar stools built upon order. The seat is generally built 15 x 14.5 and about 30 inches off the floor. (they are taller in the photo's) The frames are steel with a clear finish over the natural mill scale of the metal. In the photo, we show the frames topped with reclaimed barn wood. Since we build upon order…the dimensions and wood choice can be altered to fit your space. Price is per stool.

Three years ago, Danny, my husband built a farm table of reclaimed wood and it sold rather quickly. Our beginning was in a single car garage and from there we moved into a silver barn on a farm. We fondly nicknamed the barn the "baking unit". We are now off the farm and about 3 miles from downtown Nashville, TN.
The start of Metal Fred Designs consisted of Danny and I, Susan. During our oldest daughters senior year in high school he taught her to weld…it came much easier to her than it did me. Currently Danny has a couple of guys working with him, including a nephew but working with his daughter seems to be the highlight of his day.
We love the mix of wood and steel, clean modern lines with the warmth of beautiful wood. He is very particular and pays great attention to detail. The process of designing new pieces for clients can can wake him during the night but he really enjoys the challenge. Whether building our most popular Nicole dining table or designing from scratch, the same attention to detail and care go into each piece.
