Houston Four post canopy platform bed was commissioned by a couple in Houston. They were looking for an eclectic style to go with their new urban loft in down town Houston. With clean four sided post, black over pewter distress finish, tapered legs, and the nickel plated bolt covers give this piece the urban city feel but modern twist. Houston Four post canopy platform bed with finials is made to order and 100% handcrafted by professional American craftsmen. Constructed with North American certified FSC materials and wood products. * Houston Four post canopy platform bed specifications: The posts are laminated out of solid stock to insure stability and strength. Measuring 3 x 3 x 80" tall and tapers to the top of the post. Crowned with a set of Tester (canopy) with 2 cross members that interlock with pegs and rabbet joints. You also can select from 6 different headboard designs, 22 plus low-VOC finishes, and host of other option to choose from. All poster beds are assembled with mortise and tenon rails, headboard, and an easy 8-bolt assembly that can be set-up in 30 minutes or less. Our 1 ½" uniquely engineered designed side rails are lightweight, sturdy, and will hold up to 500bls each. The mattress cradles on top of several solid wood planks that form a sturdy platform. A center support brace is included with full, queen, king & California king sizes.
