This quilt came about when my client found a box of her sister's clothes. The clothes were, well, dated (right out of the early 80's) and we will say less than attractive. They were loved however and the client wanted to keep them in a quilt. The client chose a purple floral pattern quilters cotton for the sashing and cornerstones. The quilt was quilted in a straight-line design on the sashing and free-motion over the clothes. It was backed in a soft purple minky. Some fun features on this quilt: a hat, button-up denim jacket, and applique'd onesie from when the little girl was brought home from hospital.

We've all heard it a million times "no one _s anymore". Insert sewing, cooking, cleaning, or any one the hundreds of talents of generations past.
My love for sewing started out as a little girl watching my own mommy work up clothes and different crafts. The first thing I sewed was a little cloth with about 15 buttons on it. I was seven years old. In the years since I've continued to learn new sewing skills to build on the basics my mom taught me.
I've been quilting for 12 years now and have no plans on stopping. My favorite quilt to make are those featuring baby clothes. No other sewing puts a smile on my face like creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake filled with little tiny clothing pieces. I'm a sentimental soul, and even the whiffs of old spit up I get while ironing the clothes make me happy.
After having my first daughter was born in 2010, I wanted to find a way to supplement our household income while staying home with her. So I began offering my skills for sale. And set up my basement (a.k.a. The Dungeon) for large scale quilting and sewing. You will see different items pop up in my shop from time to time. If I make something for The Toddler, The Baby, or myself that I particularly like I want to share the fun.
