An original design, this was the 2nd commission from this client. The charge was to create a style that i have never done that fits the feel of a cabin in the flint hills for Kansas. i also made the matching king size bed. The unique feature of the bed was that it needed a nearly twin sized mattress to pull out of the footboard for the family dogs to sleep on. it needed to have a very durable design but most of all carry on the design premiss of the nightstands. I used walnut and alder for this project and cast the bronze hardware using tree bark for a texture. This is a signature design for me.

My first inspiration was my dad. I simply want to be like him.

I am a full time artisan furniture maker and Fine Artist. I design, build, hand carve, Paint and sculpt, museum quality fine art and fine furniture.
I create designs that fit my client. I work one on one, and or thru your Architect or Design professional. My major work is usually a 12 to 24 month process but smaller projects run shorter lead times. I usually have one or two apprentices but have a hands on approach with my work, yes I get dirty. My studio and gallery is independent from my home. I have been a professional artist for over thirty years.
