Antique Elegance! This new gown is made from antique champagne colored silk shantung. It is a very pale shaded fabric adorned with antique lace embellishments on the bodice and hem. The front of the gown is further embellished with same color embroidery and hand sewn seed beads and pearls set randomly amongst the embroidery. The embroidery is of heirloom vines and flower buds, the divinity trio, cross with heirloom trellis work, 2 doves bringing flowers to the cross, and finishing the very top of the design is a trio of hand embroidered silk flowers. There are many details that only seeing it in person will truly reveal. The pictures do not do justice in bringing out all the small details. The longer you look at the dress the more you will find! The back of the dress is very simple yet still elegant. The closure is five mother-of-pearl flower buttons and the hem is finished with a few rows of the silk separated by French cotton entredeux and the final edging is a small scalloped lace. This gown is sized at about 6 mos. with the chest measuring approximately 20 inches. The overall length measures 42 inches and the hem width is 96 inches. This could certainly be completed with a beautiful bonnet (no extra charge) and a light cotton slip with the family history embroidered (charge is dependent on the embellishments ordered). This gown will certainly become a family heirloom to be shared with many generations to come. This item is currently in stock and ready for immediate shipment.

Welcome to my store!
I have been stitching for well over 40 years! Amazing how fast time goes by, seems like yesterday that I sat at a sewing machine for first time!
I make wedding dresses, baby attire to include Christening/Baptismal Gowns, after christening party attire, First Communion Dresses, Flower girl dresses, quilts or anything you can dream up. I have studied with some world renowned designers such as Sandra Betzina, special occasion expert Susan Khalji, and designer to the stars Kenneth King.
I first learned the trade while visiting an aunt during a summer vacation. She was giving sewing lessons and I had an immediate love for the craft just by watching and when offered the opportunity to learn, I jumped at it! That was the beginning of a lifelong passion.
At first I was only interested in crafting my own clothes but that quickly evolved into sewing for others. When I got married I had made my mind up that I was going to venture into the special occasion genre by making my own gown and that became my next love. After the birth of my first daughter I began making all her (and now my granddaughters) special occasion dresses and then off to yet another level of the craft!
I have made many wedding gowns through the years for friends and the general public, when our friends were having babies I added Baptismal and Christening gowns to my repertoire. At first the gowns were plain with a little lace or other adornment. I have since branched off into using machine embroideries and hand beading along with heirloom techniques. The more intricate the patterns and adornments the better I like it! I have not yet met a request I haven't been able to fulfill.
I am also associated with the organization "Rest in His Arms", which provides burial attire to babies which have been abandoned by their families. This organization provides the burial gowns and services for each baby they come in contact with for free.
It has been a rewarding evolution from my first stitch to now!
If you like my work but do not see exactly what you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me for a custom order. I will do my best to work within your budget and timeline. There is no job too big or too small for me to tackle!
I take great pride in the pieces I produce and although not everything in life is a guarantee, I will stand behind my work until you are completely satisfied with your product. I will use the highest quality fabrics for what your budget will allow.
Please take note that although I am a smoke free environment I am not pet free (dogs and cat). I do try to keep my work area as pet free as possible however it's not always attainable.
Thank you,
Marcy

For Quilts And MoreMarceil was excellent. Together we put together a replacement quilt for my husband. It was a Father's Day/Early Anniversary gift for my husband. We did this all behind his back. The quilt we ended doing was gorgeous!!! It was a great father's day gift and beautiful anniversary gift. She was great to work with, keeping me updated all along. The only thing about the quilt my husband said was it was to beautiful to sleep under because it was a was a "work of art"
Roxanne Roxas
For Roxanne's Wedding DressI absolutely loved my experience working with Marcy! She made sure I was part of the process every step of the way, from picking out the lace sample to the straps and even the cups of the dress! She even made sure that the fit was absolutely perfect, and made the adjustments even after I received the dress! I really cannot recommend Marcy enough - I am so excited to wear my wedding dress! Thank you again Marcy! :)

Nicole Walsh-Witek
For Nicole's Wedding DressI truly am so happy I found Marcy to make my dress. From the moment first spoke with her, she made me feel confident and at ease. Her responses were always timely and extremely friendly. She sent many pictures of the process and swatches of the materials and sent the dress to me several times for alterations. Marcy is extremely creative and had many excellent ideas during the process. She made my poorly described vision come to life. I recommend her 100% for your wedding dress, whether it's simple or extravagant. Marcy was a true pleasure to work with and I would work with her again! :)
William Kimmins
For William's QuiltsThis was the second project we funded with Marcy and she was fantastic the whole way through. She kept us up to speed on progress, made sure we were happy at every step, and even threw in a bonus with some extra material we had paid for. I highly recommend going with her if she offers to do a project for you.

Carol Siebig
For Carol's Wedding DressMarceil was fabulous to work with. She made suggestions to save me money but not sacrifice the project. She sent me pictures of the lace that she could find that was similar to what I had described and let me pick which one I liked best. She sent me pictures and updated me on the progress of the dress the whole way through. She exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend her as a maker. Thank you Marceil! I don't see how I can add pictures to this review or I would send a picture of my dress - it is gorgeous!

Claudia Rawlinson
For Claudia's Wedding DressI had a very great experience working with Marceil - Heaven Sent Baby Quilts. She took my idea (which was a combination of two difference dresses) that I sent to her & was able to construct my dream wedding dress. Her communication throughout the project was wonderful, because the date kept changing. She sent me samples of the fabric for the dress which I loved what she picked out. The dress when finished was to perfection. I referred her to my sister who needed a dress for her son's wedding. I would highly recommend her to my other family & friends. She is indeed a professional in the service that she provides. Great Job! I loved working with her on this special project & would love to be able to work with her again on another project. CR

For Dog rain CoatIt was very easy and fun working with Marcy. Even though my project was not in her normal area of expertise, she was willing to give it a try. First she did a great job of the look I was wanting. And if she had not been on the ball and taking a little initiative and willing to question MY information, my poor dog would be wearing,....well who knows WHAT it would have looked like. LOL Then even though it was the holiday season Marcy still managed to complete my project in a very quick time line. Bottom line ..IF Marcy would be willing to try any of my further projects, even though it isn't the type of things she may like to make, I would want to give her first shot at them. That is how much I liked working with Marcy. The item is just what I wanted. And she even sent my dog a couple of treats along with the rain coat. Thanks Marcy and take care.
Will Swenson
For Quilt ProjectMarcy was truly great in every way. She took my idea and actualized it wonderfully. I was also under a huge time crunch, and she worked incredibly fast to get my project done in time. She was terrific at adjusting things when I suggested a change here and there, and was a very responsive and friendly collaborator on this project. A lovely, talented artist with a lovely, positive energy.
Amanda Koschade
For Quilt ProjectMarceil was amazing! She contacted me every step of the way, asked my opinion on what I would prefer. She even added a special message to the quilt so that my son will be able to keep this and remember how he got it. Thank you so much! I know that anyone who is looking for this type of work will not be disappointed. And who knows I might just need to get something for my daughter soon!
