Staggered Heart Pine Bench
Over 100 years of DUMBO's industrial history is preserved in the wood of this bench. Two Heart Pine staggered beams, which rest on half-inch hot rolled plate steel legs, were salvaged from 195 Plymouth Street, home to a 20th century shaving soap factory. Both modern and rustic, this piece compliments a wide array of design sensibilities for indoor and outdoor spaces.

Mark Jupiter is a 4th generation New York builder best known as a founding partner of the award winning and nationally acclaimed New World Home, creators of the New Old Green Modular (currently featured in the new hardcover PREFABULOUS + ALMOST OFF THE GRID). Inspired by the craftsman of his family starting with his great grandfather hammering out the original copper roofs of the city’s first skyscrapers, to the hand carved furniture designed and built by his father, Mark is committed to continuing his family’s long standing tradition with the launch of MARK JUPITER in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
