Custom Hand Made Hollow Wood Surfboard
This hand made hollow wood surfboard is a mirror image knotty redwood with western cedar and pine highlights. It is hollow, built on a custom made frame and consists of over 100 pieces of wood. The board is fiberglassed, utilizes a single fin box (to change fin style) and a gore-tex vented leash plug. A custom branding iron was made and used to further set this board apart and make it truly one of a kind. The board was auctioned off as part of the Switchfoot Bro Am Foundation to benefit homeless kids and sold for $3200.

In pursuit of working with my hands, utilizing construction experience and desire to touch and feel the history of hand made products, I create hand made art/furniture out of passion. I've built and sold a number of high end wood surfboards for Southern California's prominent influencers. Signs for store fronts, trade show displays, custom rustic furniture, etc.
It is fun to test my limits, my tools limits and find the medium that brings the wow factor to a customer. If it means custom making a branding iron and setting the specific piece apart, well that isn't out of the equation.
