J "Scott" Gowdy carefully chooses the materials and allows the wood type and grain to guide his designs. This is a one of a kind hand turned & dyed maple Bowl. The entire piece is turned out of one piece of wood but with careful turning I made the illusion of having a different bowl inside. Truly a unique piece. Size: 10" X 2" HIGH

Scott has been working with wood for over 30 years. A musician, graduating from Berklee College of Music, he has led an interesting life. From working in Hollywood to traveling the world, he brings that life diversity to his woodworking.

Aug 20, 2015This was a totally enjoyable project. Scott was so easy to work with. He made the most beautiful cutting board, custom sized for my RV. We are leaving for a vacation soon and Scott was very helpful in making sure we had what we needed before we left. The board came quickly and very well packaged. We just put it in the RV tonight while we were packing and it looks beautiful. I know we will get many years of enjoyment from this beautiful, handcrafted treasure!
