Kt Media Console
I love a good home theater system but I hate all the cabling required and sometimes wireless just doesn't work well, that is why most of my furniture designs feature some kind of consideration for cabling. The KT Media Console started off as a commissioned piece after the clients saw the D117 Collection at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York. They liked that my cabinets are modern yet but not just a box like many modern furniture tend to be. They also liked the fact that I design and build pieces that are meant to be of heirloom quality and purposefully chose wood with characteristic grain. For this particular piece, I used American Walnut but I can build it with other species of wood too.

We hope to stimulate creativity, promote the DIY spirit, and foster a sense of pride in the environment we live in.
David Hsu was born in Taiwan, raised in New Zealand, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Columbia University in New York. While working in the field of information technology for photographers and designers, he longed to work in a more creative capacity so he returned to school in 2010 and received a master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Pratt Institute.
