My covers are all hand carved and tooled from the finest carving cowhide backs and completed with finished calf-skin or designer leather interiors and laced together by hand with calf-skin lacing. An extra length of lace provides two matching bookmarks. Customize your own recovery cover with circle and triangle, your favorite phrase or prayer, and other familiar recovery themes. And of course, you get to specify the design and style of your own cover. Interior pocket panels can be customized with your name and date, extension of the outter design, or hand carved text of your choosing. I make covers for any recovery books in any size. Single or dual covers for pocket, standard and large print sizes of the Big Book and 12 x 12, and of course a cover for your favorite novel, album, notebook or bible. Pricing depends upon the size of the cover, complexity of the construction, and of course, primarily upon the amount of detail and area of the carved design. My name is Allan and I have been hand carving and tooling leather since around the age of 12. Nevermind how long ago that was!
My initial work was in wallets, belts, and purses. But my love is in tooling larger items with more room for design and expression. I currently specialize in book covers and covers for consumer electronic devices.

I have many ready-made designs for covers for the literature from Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12 step programs for that special sponsor or loved one in recovery.

Though my love and specialty is in the carving, tooling and dying of leather, I do welcome all inquiries for your leather project. I do all my own work including tooling and dying of the leather and the stitching, lacing and any other assembly required to complete the final product.
