Figured Hawaiian Koa wood is a very rare and beautiful wood, that is indigenous to only one island in the world, Hawaii. It is renowned for it's ability to reflect light with gemlike qualities, and to retain the ability to be polished to an ultra high gloss. Many furniture and musical instrument makers hail Koa as being the ultimate wood. In addition to this, it is extremely hard to come by. You cannot cut down these trees, so the only Harvestable wood comes from trees that fall from natural causes, and that which is already in existence. This fountain pen has been sanded and polished to an ultra smooth, sleek finish and fitted with beautiful Rhodium and Black Titanium plated pen hardware. The pen features beautiful decorative bands, and a Swarovski crystal at the end of the clip (note:it has a screw on cap, and is a non-post-able cap).     I couldn't be happier with Cronin Woodworking. Mr. Cronin fixed the engraving on 2 wood toy boxes. The old engraving was completely removed and replaced with a font and size of my choosing. The engraving was perfectly done! It looks so nice! Mr. Cronin also added a nice wood finish. I highly recommend this shop for any woodworking projects!
