This beautiful slab came from a walnut tree on a farm in Oso, Washington, the tree had reached it full maturity and was ready for harvesting after years of giving the family shade an many seasons of walnuts. This is a branch of the tree that shows wonderful figuring that occur when stresses are applied to the tree in its life, a truly colorful slab. The slab initially was 3" and taken to @" during planing and sanding. Finished in a slight gloss sheen with tounge oil finish for interior setting and should provide years of use in a fine home. The bark is left on to accentuate the contrast of the light and dark waves of the grains in the wood. The legs are reclaimed industrial beam hangers finished to a vintage raw steel look with a two part automotive clear epoxy. A piece any home of commercial setting would be proud to have and use.
