Ash And Walnut (Dog) Bed

$1,000

Made with a wink at whimsy, this bed was originally designed to give our furry children (Fern and Murray, Fern pictured) as place to rest that would match our own Mission-style bed. To be truthful, theirs ended up just little bit nicer. Shown in ash with walnut spindles and and wenge inlay, this bed can be made to virtually any dimension. (Yes, human sizes, too) And while the human version is made with standard bedrails, this "pet-style" bed shown also has an option of higher rails, designed to place the dogs on the same level as our own bed (and gain a little of our sleeping space back in the process!) As with all of our furniture, style and species can be selected to match your home's own style (and we're itching to build a Greene & Greene-style mahogany version, just in case you were wondering…) Version shown is finished with a simple poly-acrylic.

About Me:
With a "day job" that puts me on the road as a sound engineer for pop stars, metal bands and all manner of touring artists, I love my time at home in the shop. What started as necessary hobby to remodel our 100+ year old home on the NJ shore has led a great love for woodworking. In particular, I love finding solutions to unique challenges.

My projects:
With building a side business, I never need to push volume or time, as such, I rarely have more than one or two projects going at a time and they always get my full attention. Favorites include understated Federal furniture and custom built-ins. Room by room, our own home is becoming a library and I love helping other people find homes for their books. Even better is helping them craft the right table, chair, bed or even kitchen island to help them enjoy them!
