We couldn't take the drab garage doors of our own shop any more, and this was our solution: Arts and Crafts carriage doors constructed of African mahogany on an insulated, engineered lumber core. While they might be extreme for the average garage, these are doors I love walking through every day. Borrowing heavily from the Greene & Greene-style and finished with an oil and spar varnish blend, they are made to take the worst of our Jersey Shore weather and style look great day after day.

About Me:
With a "day job" that puts me on the road as a sound engineer for pop stars, metal bands and all manner of touring artists, I love my time at home in the shop. What started as necessary hobby to remodel our 100+ year old home on the NJ shore has led a great love for woodworking. In particular, I love finding solutions to unique challenges.

My projects:
With building a side business, I never need to push volume or time, as such, I rarely have more than one or two projects going at a time and they always get my full attention. Favorites include understated Federal furniture and custom built-ins. Room by room, our own home is becoming a library and I love helping other people find homes for their books. Even better is helping them craft the right table, chair, bed or even kitchen island to help them enjoy them!

This was my first time working with Custom Made and my first time working with William at Shy Dog Design. I was very happy and excited to work with William as he took my project from a Concept/Design to a finished good. The price was more than I had anticipated but there was nothing like it and it was Customized to my specification. We had a few conversation and I dropped off some specific items. As he began the build he did a photo documentary and shared the progress with me. Here is the blog http://shydogdesigns.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-custom-game-console.html Should I need anything custom again I know who to contact.

What can I say? Amazing craftsmanship, such amazing attention to detail. Just amazing in every way. I'm so thankful to Will for listening to my ideas, having the patience to allow me to "modify and revise" many times, and to execute it all so beautifully. Thanks Will! I'm sure these pieces will last a lifetime....and then some. And I'm already wondering what I can have you make next. ;-)

I couldn't find the perfect nightstands, so Will was able to produce exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended.
