Artistic Woodworking and Marquetry
Artistic Woodworking is a veteran-owned, custom woodworking and marquetry business.
As an engineer, and master woodworker with over 15 years of experience, my heightened attention-to-details serves to support my desire for perfection and expression of furniture as art. We provide expertise in custom furniture, beautiful handcrafted marquetry, restoration, and professional refinishing.
Marquetry is the art of inlaying different woods of veneer to form decorative patterns, designs or pictures. The marquetry is then recessed into the project. Making these beautiful pictures is a long tedious process. Each piece has to be cut out with the utmost attention to detail, and then assembled, re-cut, and precisely fit, to ensure a seamless design. We can also add custom marquetry to your unfinished project.
You will love and treasure this unique furniture. Thank you for choosing Artistic Woodworking and Marquetry.
Jeff was incredibly pleasant and professional in all communication and interaction. This project was special to me since it was something my father made and sent to me as a housewarming gift. It arrived broken (it's a wooden bowl) from shipping & I nearly cried when I saw it. Jeff managed to put the broken pieces back together and freshly stain and wax the bowl so that it literally looks as good as new -- better than new, really (since it was a 45 year old bowl that probably needed some new staining anyway)! I'm so grateful that he was able to fix this sentimental, special item for me and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing woodworking projects completed.
Jeff is an absolute joy to work with. Admittedly while I admire the skill of woodworking I know very little about it, so my language was likely simplistic and unsophisticated, however Jeff understood exactly what I wanted with ease and even recommended better options that I hadn't considered at all. As a result the finished product came out better than I could have hoped. On top of that, Jeff worked within a short timeframe and completed the project a day early, allowing me to pick up the finished piece even sooner. He worked with me the whole way and accommodated in every way he could. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jeff to anyone looking for quality work.
I want to thank Jeff for the care and consideration he took in repairing my mother's rolling pin. Not only did he fix it perfectly someone else that I asked to do the job ruined it by putting a metal bolt in it. So Jeff not only did the needed wood work he also had to remove the threader that was put inside and a washer the put on the handle. I absolutely recommend Jeff he did an amazing job and took on a small job I feel most would have passed on thank you very much Jeff.
Jeff was given a special project it was my fathers hand made tie rack that he made for his father. This piece was close to 80 years old and falling apart and missing pieces. Jeff did an excellent job at a fair price and kept in contact every step of the way. It was even completed early he is a master at his craft, highly recommended. Jim
Jeff kept me posted on all aspects of my project. I am thrilled with the final outcome.
