Artistic Woodworking is a veteran-owned, custom woodworking and marquetry business.
As an engineer, and master woodworker with over 15 years of experience, my heightened attention-to-details serves to support my desire for perfection and expression of furniture as art. We provide expertise in custom furniture, beautiful handcrafted marquetry, restoration, and professional refinishing.
Marquetry is the art of inlaying different woods of veneer to form decorative patterns, designs or pictures. The marquetry is then recessed into the project. Making these beautiful pictures is a long tedious process. Each piece has to be cut out with the utmost attention to detail, and then assembled, re-cut, and precisely fit, to ensure a seamless design. We can also add custom marquetry to your unfinished project.
You will love and treasure this unique furniture. Thank you for choosing Artistic Woodworking and Marquetry.

For Oak desk topVery happy with the work Jeff did for us on our project. Compared to some of the intricate marquetry he does our oak desktop was relatively simple yet he was always enthusiastic in making sure we got what we wanted. At the end of the project our expectations were exceeded. He stayed in communication throughout, sent us pictures so we could see the process and even manged to deliver ahead of schedule. I would definitely think of Jeff first if we had another woodworking project.

For Judge’s GavelToday I received the gavel and sound block in the mail. It is beautiful and so well made. I appreciate the attention to detail, flexibility with my schedule with respect to communication. Mostly, the final product is just perfect and my sister will love it for years to come. Thank you.

For Fixing a Wooden Bowl?Jeff was incredibly pleasant and professional in all communication and interaction. This project was special to me since it was something my father made and sent to me as a housewarming gift. It arrived broken (it's a wooden bowl) from shipping & I nearly cried when I saw it. Jeff managed to put the broken pieces back together and freshly stain and wax the bowl so that it literally looks as good as new -- better than new, really (since it was a 45 year old bowl that probably needed some new staining anyway)!
I'm so grateful that he was able to fix this sentimental, special item for me and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing woodworking projects completed.

For repairing fathers projectJeff was given a special project it was my fathers hand made tie rack that he made for his father. This piece was close to 80 years old and falling apart and missing pieces. Jeff did an excellent job at a fair price and kept in contact every step of the way. It was even completed early he is a master at his craft, highly recommended.
