Seven years ago, while working at a cabinet shop I pulled some beautiful pieces of wood out of the scrap pile. I couldn't believe wood came in any other colors than just shades of brown. I then discovered the joy of putting together reclaimed furniture-grade lumber like a puzzle and seeing what I can come up with. Six months later when I married my beautiful wife I started furnishing our house with pieces made of various combinations of exotic and domestic hardwoods; including a prototype for this very table!
