Hanging Lamp Chandelier Branch ! 4 Sockets, Big Porcelain Roses, Leaves

$1,750

This is a hanging light fixture formed as a branch, with leaves and roses. The sockets are formed into the branch in an organic fashion and there are 4 lights. The candelabra sockets and the cord are UL listed and the sockets are rated to 70 watts so you could conceivably put bright bulbs to really throw out some light or you can put any standard 120V candelabra light bulbs in them that you desire. I made the roses out of porcelain and we have other individual roses for sale. These roses are a happy bright yellow color. This is a one of a kind, art creation. I first made the frame from sturdy 5/16" steel, welded together, very strong. Then I wired in the sockets and coated the whole thing to become the branch you see here. The branch is painted a dark bronze color so it shimmers with metal flecks in the right light. The 2 largest roses are around 5 inches in diameter, quite large and beautiful. Our friends who have seen this are amazed, so original.

I have been doing sculpture in different media for around 20 years and focusing more on woodwork lately. My specialty is carved wood furniture, ceramic flowers and now I'm starting to make some unique lighting fixtures/chandeliers.

I have a bachelor's degree in Business and am widely traveled, and have lived overseas in many countries so I have seen many different forms of artwork worldwide.

I was previously known as an electronics technician so I am beginning to add lighting to some of my projects. I am attempting to create a niche with custom music stands and carved end tables. I am skilled at cabinetmaking but prefer to make sculptural furniture, things with curves are much easier for me to make somehow. A few of the artists and woodworkers I consider to be strong influences in my life include Sam Maloof, Wendell Castle and Isamu Noguchi.
