Natural Wood Table- Live Edges- Log Table- Log Furniture- Round Table- Rustic- Coffee Table

$850

This natural wood table would work well as a coffee table or plant stand. It is made from a round cut (aka cookie, tree slice, log round) of black walnut from a log sustainably sourced from the Kentucky Department of Highways. It's a thick table top just over 3 1/8" and it's packed with natural wood character. The top has been sanded smooth and finished in an oil and poly combination. The film finish can withstand drinks, plants and anything else you decide to use it for. The top is fit to three 3-bar steel hairpin legs. The legs have been clear coated for protection and give a great juxtaposition of organic, industrial and mid century flavor. This awesome piece measures a finished 29 3/8" l x 24 1/4" w and stands 17 1/4" H. Ready to ship!

Kentucky LiveEdge is operated by craftsman Drew Gahafer. He creates quality live edge furniture and unique applications for home and office.

Drew Gahafer is a self-taught woodworker, artist and furniture designer that got his start by upcycling furniture that was either thrown away, neglected, or purchased for mere pennies at yard sales or consignment shops. Plastics, glass, metals and wood were all materials that he was intrigued on refurbishing and building with. In 2008 he built his family home, which was a narrow shotgun style house. After weeks of housing the traditional square coffee table, he realized the dimensions took up 1/3 of the rooms space. In an effort to create something customized for his home space, he traveled back to his roots and brought back 2 narrow live edge slabs from a sawmill in Eastern Kentucky. By the time his first two pieces were near completion, his family and friends made offers on both pieces. He obliged and returned to the mountains for 5 live edge slabs of wood. Once those 5 were near completion, same story. To this day, his home lacks a coffee table.
