The pictured piece was crafted with genuine rough sawn barn board finished with an earthy weathered grey zero voc water based lacquer, these pieces are built to last a lifetime. The one thing I didn't think to ask about was if there would be some coat of protection over the wood besides the stain and there isn't one so I will have to coat it with polyurethane or some such myself. My living room will become a wood workshop for a day or so….
