It's hard to say when I actually "became" an artist, but for the last few years my main medium would be considered sculpture. I have been reclaiming and bringing back to life Joshua Trees that were victims of a devastating wildfire in the high desert of California. Since my move to the Northwest my focus has shifted to working with the woods indigenous to this region. Barnwood.

I have a very direct approach these days with my designs. The idea being every project is an opportunity to learn a new technique or be inspired by it to try something different with the next.
