Custome Made Toys!!!

I worked with Al in late 2014. I had this idea for a wedding gift and he made it come to life. I wanted a very specific image burned into wood and framed to be hung in the newlywed's house. I was super nervous about the details, really wanting it to be just right. Al was extremely reassuring and was great about communicating with me along the way. He sent picture updates and was very patient with my questions and concerns. Al is a true artist and professional. The piece is exactly what I had hoped. Even more than the outcome, the process of working with him was fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone.

I was skeptical about using custom made website since I really knew nothing about it. I wrote up a brief summary of what I wanted with a picture attached. Within just a few hours I was contacted by Al Saulso via email. He explained his ideas, time frame etc. The whole experience was so easy and Mr. Saulso kept me updated every day with pictures of his progress on my project. The project was that I wanted a friends buisness image burned onto a large piece of leather and framed in old barn wood. Mr. Saulso built the frame and burned the photo all by hand and in crazy good detail. The logo had a deer head as part of the image and I have no idea how he was able to make such great detail simply by using a burning tool. Just plain gifted talent I'm guessing. It almost looks like it's been painted on a piece of canvas but when you look close you see its a piece of leather approx 18x22 and all done by leather burning techniques that obviously takes skill way beyond my ability to obtain. The gift is for a friend who is blessed with lots of money so the guy has everything. This made the perfect gift for him. A one of kind piece that he couldn't buy in any store. I was so impressed I'm currently awaiting a 2nd project from him of an old 8n Ford tractor burned onto again a leather background of my father's old tractor. My father like my friend Jerry is extremely difficult to buy for. The whole process was easy and quick and I have in hand my gift for my friend all within a week. That is unheard of in a totally custom art project of this scale. My wife saw it on her lunch today and she said and I quote "that is amazing, we should have one made for my dad for his birthday" his will probably include cattle since they raise them. It's just such a unique gift so if you are looking for an idea for that hard to buy for person I would suggest giving Mr. Saulso a try.
