This was created using soft pastels on asphalt at 12'x12' large! Many times after drawing an image in the street such as this, I love to re draw it on a smaller scale on paper.

Pastels, faces and color are my passion! Capturing "that look" in a portrait is what I strive for. My portraits are unique because I'd rather focus on the heart and soul or the mood of the face I'm drawing rather than making it photo realistic.
I have traveled internationally drawing my large portraits on the streets as a Madonnari but when I'm home in Southern California, it's nice to return to my drawing board and work on a somewhat smaller scale.
In addition to the portraits I create, I illustrate digitally creating logos and book illustrations. I am currently working on 3 completely different books. One book of poetry, one children's book and one end of the world zombie type thriller.
