R&R Hanging Daybed Porch Swing

$1,650+

The R&R Bed swing is well…the first swing we ever built. We are the only manufacturer to offer a daybed swing with folding armrests. Just lift the armrest extensions upwards until they lock into place and you will have enough room to put your drink, a book, cell phone, and even a plate of food! The No.1 can be finished in any way you like. However, we believe that the only true way to finish our antique barnwood is to use an oil mixed with a varnish. Hand rubbing oil enriches the wood, bringing out the beautiful grain and character marks imparted through the years. 40 ft. of manilla rope or chain is included with each swing. Customer is responsible for hanging and supporting swing. The approx. dimensions of the twin mattress swing measures as follows: 88" from side to side (98" with armrests extended) 48" from front to back 28.5" in height. We also offer this same design daybed swing in faux barnwood for $1250.00 **Cushions, pillows, and mattress are not included. This is a custom made item and will take 4-6 weeks for completion. Please understand that no 2 swings are alike when ordering one made from barn wood. **Note** Only the visible pieces of this swing are made from reclaimed barnwood, all the structural framing is made of standard pine.

Four Oak Designs is devoted to making beautiful, yet functional, works of art. Just as an artist foresees their next brush stroke, we must foresee a special placement for each piece of wood. Simply putting pieces of wood together because they may fit is not what we do. The majority of wood we work with is heart pine. This “heart” wood came from the non-living center of the first generation of pine trees in America. These first generation trees (natural growing trees that were here when the first settlers came to America) were predominantly Longleaf pine trees which are now a threatened species.

I have been working with my hands for all my life, and I rarely come across something I cannot build or fix, and if that is the case, I try everything in my power to learn how. Sure, there are tons of people out there that are more skilled and have more experience than I do, but I promise no one will try harder and go more out of their way for you than I will.

If you need any advice on care, maintenance, setup, etc. I will gladly pass on any and all of my knowledge in that particular area as well as exhaust all my available resources in order to better serve you. I have always been one of those people that love to work, and I am truly blessed to have found something I really love to do. Although I say “this is not a hobby, it’s my job” I love it like a hobby, but treat it like a job.
