Doors are functional, but can also be canvases. After templating the door, I gave it an "upnorth Wisconsin" look, complete with "outhouse" handle and carved composite loon. Themes and styles are endless.

About Me
I started my career in carpentry by going to a Milwaukee Brewers baseball game. During the 7th inning stretch I started talking to the man seated in front of me and found out that he was a carpenter. I had always enjoyed building projects, so I took the test and found a position, and began my apprenticeship. 5 years later, I graduated as a Journeyman.
About My Work
During my apprenticeship I learned rough framing, concrete form work, store fixture installation, and finish carpentry. As a journeyman, I worked for many of the richest people in Milwaukee doing very fine finish work in very extravagant homes, and also worked for some of the poorest people in the city, remodeling city project buildings for people on disability. I have worked on ocean-going ships securing cargo in the holds; and once installed a lockset that was made in the year 1690. My wife and I purchased a log home built in the 1870's, and have done extensive remodeling.
About My Business
In 1999, I began Cabins to Castles Carpentry, LLC. I have built custom garages and decks; remodeled bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, family rooms and dens; build rustic and fine furniture; work with welding and metal; and install ceramic tile showers, countertops, floors, and backsplashes. I enjoy doing pyrography(wood burnings), artistic copper work, and chainsaw and wood carvings. I also do service and repair work and building maintainence. My work was displayed at the Milwaukee Art Museum (I built flowerboxes which were filled with plants for a competition), and built a log bench with copper grapevines which was donated to a hospital. With 29 years of carpentry experience, I'm able to bring just about any project idea to life.

Lisa Noble
For ChestExtremely easy to work with and made my jumbled vision into something beautiful. Lots of communication and status updates which was nice. He always made sure to ask my opinion before doing any thing with the chest. It looks amazing and can't wait to put it in my living room.
Jay Pedde
For Jay's SignTim did a great job on the sign - he had a couple of ideas to enhance the project at the beginning that really added to the final product. It totally exceeded my expectations. He even built a custom case to ship the sign to ensure it wasn't damaged in transit. If you need custom work, I highly recommend Tim. J
