The Butcher Block is made from woods native to Western North Carolina including wormy chestnut, oak, walnut, and maple -The Butcher Block Measure 17 1/4" x 21" and is 4" thick -The stand is built from reclaimed oak with walnut plugs and is 36 3/4" tall -The bottom shelf is spacious and was built with the idea of placing a kitchen trash can on - Can be custom built to any size

We strive to build unique, but functional, pieces that are designed constructed to stand the test of time.
Made by Marr Wood Working and Design is a small shop located in Bryson City, NC, which sits nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. In fact, our shop is located just 1 mile from the Deep Creek entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As such, we don't have to look far for inspiration from the natural environment.
We build unique pieces, but we will never sacrifice sound joinery and wood working practices just to produce something unique. We put a lot of pride in our work and provide our clients with pieces their family will enjoy for generations to come. We are a small shop that focuses on working hand and hand with our clients designing and building custom furniture and accessories.
