Modern coffee table, made of reclaimed redwood and glass. I built this table using over 600 pieces of reclaimed redwood, with each piece being cut, glued and secured by hand, followed by a half inch thick sheet of glass to serve as the table top, giving it a very nice modern feel. The base has been sealed and finished with an oil and urethane mixture. This table is called "origin," because it was the first piece I made in the current series that I am working on. table base dimensions: 36" x 17.5" x 16" glass top dimensions: 44" x 24" x .5"

I am a third generation carpenter who owns and operates a successful home remodeling company. Several years ago I made a conscious decision to try to reuse materials that I would normally throw in a landfill, and my new business was born.
Using only reclaimed wood, I create art that is unique, and at the same time draw attention to the endless possibilities of working exclusively with salvaged wood. Assembled like jigsaw puzzles or mosaics, every work I make consists of anywhere from hundreds to thousands of individual pieces of wood that are cut, glued, and nailed together, one piece at a time. I am particularly fascinated by the challenges involved in transforming scrap that would otherwise end up in landfills into beautiful sculptures or functional furnishings.
