Salad Serving Set
This set is carved from black walnut. My work is always one-of-a-kind, and even this pair are different from each other. Complimentary and reflective, but different. I think they make a perfect wedding or anniversary gift, since they work together so well, while exhibiting their internal character and style. West Virginia black walnut is the perfect wood for salad servers; it finishes beautifully with food-safe mineral oil, and can be washed and re-oiled any time. The holes allow them to be hung up for display, and they will bring many compliments from viewers and users alike.

I have lived on Bear Run Road, in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia for 40 years--thus my business name BEAR RUN CRAFTS. I have made and built just about everything imaginable, from Christmas ornaments to kitchen cabinets to front doors. Salad forks to dining room tables to 8 room house.
During the 1990's I worked in a custom furniture shop, and have designed, built and installed fixtures in a spa/yoga studio and an art gallery in New York City.
My work is always one of a kind, made with my own artistic and creative tendencies blended with the recipients' desires and requirements.
I can arrange personal delivery of larger items, at certain times and to certain locations, depending on my (extensive!) travel schedule. We'll plan this together during the bidding and design process.
