Bedside Table With Breadboard Ends

Bedside Table With Breadboard Ends

$1,100

This end table is built and ready to ship. I love the simple lines of Shaker furniture and Japanese furniture, so my work tends to have simple lines and high functionability. I am also fascinated by the way some woods have such a different appearance depending on how they are cut. The top on this table is quarter sawn, exposing Sapele's wonderful ribbon effect. The edges and breadboard ends are flat sawn, creating a very different look. This table stands 29" tall with a top that is 16" x 20". A favorite construction method of table tops for is the use of the breadboard end. The breadboard ends on my tables are truly functional and not just decorative. They help keep the table top flat over the changes of the seasons as the wood moves in and out. The draw is dovetailed and rides on wooden slides. The drawer handle is Wenge (both Wenge and Sapele are African woods). This listing is for this single table. I normally build these in pairs for either side of the couch or bed. Custom pairs of these type tables are described in another one of my listings. Please see that listing for available options. The shipping quote below is an estimate. I will calculate shipping and handling for your zip code and adjust. Thanks
