This humidor is made from solid maple and bubinga veneer. The aged Confederate flag is a piece of maple veneer bordered in cherry trim. This unit stands about 15" , is about 12" wide and 12" deep. It will hold 80-100 cigars.

I've been making custom furniture, cabinets, and small woodworking projects for the past 20 years. I've made small projects such as cutting boards, chess boards, jewelry boxes, and humidors as well as entertainment centers, desks, bookcases, and dining room tables. I prefer to design my own projects after finding out what the customer wants.

As a woodworker I'm primarily self taught and I thoroughly enjoy building unique projects. Most of my work is contemporary or traditional. I haven't yet delved into reproducing antique furniture although there are a couple of pieces I would like to make.

I work alone so a reasonable amount of time must be allowed to finish a project. I never like to rush anything I do. I want the project to be right just as the customer does. If I feel a project is too difficult for my skillset I will either not do it or discuss other options with the customer.

    I had a great experience working with Dale. He built a custom wall cabinet for me, for a reasonable price, and it is beautiful. Well made, too. His communication was great, kept me posted, made sure we were on the same page. I would definitely work with Dale again, I'm very happy with his work and professionalism.

    I enjoyed having this project done. It will be a great thing for the memory of my grandfather to have his, our, dominoes hanging on the wall with his information on it. My mother and grandmother both love it and I do too. I thank Dale and Dixie Woodworking for doing this project. We had some bumps in the road but they were resolved quickly.
