Handcrafted Hand Quilted Tiny Star Quilt

$475+

This handcrafted quilt is constructed from premium muslin cotton and shot cotton. Shot cotton is woven with two slightly different colors, creating a rich depth in color that is not apparent with other solid cottons. NOTE: I've built two of these Tiny Star Quilts, each one is custom. The price starts at $475 - I work with you on colors and materials and present a sketch before the building begins. A custom quilt means it's all about you, from start to finish. It is entirely hand quilted with Japanese sashiko thread. The quilt measures 36 inches x 36 inches. Larger size can be made accordingly. The border is hand stitched using a double binding technique so the edges of your quilt are well protected. The back of the quilt is solid muslin. The space surrounding the star highlights the love and patience devoted to the hand quilting. The symbol of the star represents luminosity and timelessness. Sewn in Texas. American Made. Campfire Quilts was born during a road trip from Texas to Canada with my family through the beautiful Rocky Mountains during the summer of 2013. The days were warm and the chilly nights by the campfire were welcomed with a quilt on my lap. Funny how the summer nights in Wyoming reminded me of the winter nights in Texas. A quilt is needed in all seasons!

Every one one of my quilts is hand crafted for strength and durability. In a time when we depend on machines, especially for bedding and linens, all my quilts are hand quilted with pure cotton Japanese sashiko thread. The piecing of the quilt top is done by machine, the actual quilting is by hand.

My one of a kind quilts are both art and craft. They are functional objects of beauty. They are meant to be used and loved, though they look stunning hanging on a wall, too. They are objects that become a part of your family's story, from staying warm under, building forts with, or using for those Sunday family picnics.
Built with care and precision, these quilts will become 'that thing' your children 'put their name on.' These are heirlooms.
I favor solid colored fabric for their timeless appeal and only work with purely natural fibers. This ensures your quilt will last for a long time.
